Nelson Mandela positioned education as the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world. But how do we support educators who are the facilitators of learning? How do we assist in creating contexts within which effective teaching and learning can take place? The very existence of iThemba LABS relies on the availability of experimental skills through which research and development is driven.
iThemba LABS was given an opportunity to impact “how science educators show up” by providing 100 educators in the Amathole East District of the Eastern Cape Education Department with branded laboratory coats. The inscription on the back reads: “Advancing knowledge through experimentation.”
