Gauteng LABS – Library

The library is a service organization embodying the library at iThemba LABS (Faure), and the iThemba LABS (Gauteng) Library.

Gauteng Library Responsibilities

The library is responsible for maintenance of collection as defined by iThemba LABS. Its main function is the provision of literature through access to local and international information sources. The library is responsible for the dissemination of current information through subscribed databases and the use of current periodicals. This is conducted through online subscription, and any other related documents that can be accessed, to all its users via intranet and internet web site.

The library ensures that all published information is issued as required by users. The information is controlled and is updated when amended or as a result of annual audit findings. By doing so, the library ensures that all users conducting research projects at any level are catered for.
