Muneer Sakildien mounting the silicon drift detectors

During July 2017, Muneer Sakildien, Accelerator and Engineering Department and Pete Jones, Subatomic Physics Department collaborated with the Ion Source Group at the Accelerator Laboratory of the Department of Physics, University of Jyväskylä on a plasma diagnostics measurement campaign. The goal of the measurement campaign was to probe high charge state production from the plasma of an Electron Cyclotron Resonance Ion Source for possible future projects at iThemba LABS. The measurement campaign also form part of the experimental work for the doctoral thesis of Muneer Sakildien to be submitted to the University of Jyväskylä in 2018.
